Managing Director of Bakhtar Petrochemical Company said 5 of the company’s subsidiaries are about to come online to generate jobs for 5,600 individuals.
Speaking on the sidelines of a ceremony to open Lorestan Petrochemical Plant, DavaoudRabbani said the plants are financed by private entities and built along the West Ethylene Pipeline project.
Financed by the government and 1,700km long, the pipeline project will link Iran’s coastal regions in the south to western and northwestern regions of the country.
Rabbani said 5 plants (with $1.2b in finances) have so far been launched along the pipeline and 5 others are about to come online in the near future with an investment of $3.5b.
Once operational, the plants will process 2.94 million tons of products annually.
